This isn’t your granddad’s PGA anymore – though it does have a hint of Lee Trevino jest.
Some of the world’s best young golfers — Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler, Smiley Kaufman and Justin Thomas —
are on #sb2k16, better known as vacation in the Bahamas. (Yes, their vacation has its own hashtag.)
And they haven’t shied away from sharing their stunts in the sun.
There’s been boating, crazy headdresses and shirtless golfing, which showed off their really terrible tan lines more than their actual on-course skills.
But if you’re Spieth, coming off an epic meltdown at the Masters, you can’t hang with your bros in the Bahamas without getting razzed about your struggles.
Kaufman and Thomas have already won 2016 by calling out Spieth.
Spieth, for his part, seems to have a good attitude about it.
So here it is, merely Day 2 of their island rendezvous and we’ve gotten a up-close glimpse through Snapchat, Twitter and Instagram, plus a YouTube video?
This is the makeover golf needs. For too long, the sport has been owned by geeky dads wearing loafers. This is the inside look we never got from that guy whose name rhymes with Wiger Toods.
