Roger Federer came back to Wimbledon 2023, for the first time since his retirement from tennis, which took place at the Laver Cup last September. The Swiss Maestro was a guest at the Royal Box, alongside Princess of Wales Kate Middleton.
Roger showed his immense and infinite class on this occasion too, opting for a truly elegant beige suit. Roger wore Finley 1993 Sun sunglasses, a model by Oliver Peoples, a brand of which Federer has been an ambassador since last April.
But it was Roger Federer’s new Rolex that caught the attention of connoisseurs even more. This is the Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller, a model launched by Rolex at the Watches and Wonders fair in Geneva. Federer’s model had as a detail a gray strap made of steel and white gold, and with a blue dial.
The bezel of this model with a 42 mm case in steel and white gold is fluted. The model is on sale for around $16k. The model is one of the latest watches from Rolex, with a 9002 movement, with various functions. In fact, it allows you to view the day, the month, another time zone in 24-hour format, the hours, minutes and seconds.
In 2023, the Sky-Dweller has received modifications, including an 18K white gold version on a black Oysterflex strap, a first, even if it is not the model worn by Roger.
Roger at Wimbledon 2023
Roger Federer made the legend of this sport, and he created it above all on the Wimbledon courts.
Here he has won eight times and he did it by showing an extraordinary tennis to say the least. The crowd loves him and remembers him with great affection, on Tuesday he received an award ceremony and many acclaimed him on the centre-back.
Roger, next to his wife Mirka and the Princess of Wales Kat Middleton: an iconic shot that at the same time left regret in those fans who hoped last year to see him again on the court at Wimbledon. The tennis player has given a long interview to CNN in these hours and has dealt with many topics.
