Tiger Woods will go down in history as one of the best golfers ever, and now his son, Charlie, is making waves in the game.
Charlie Woods, at 15 years old, caught everybody’s attention on Wednesday at the U.S. Junior Amateur qualifier at Eagle Trace Golf Club in Coral Springs, Fla. He finished in first place in a field of 75 after shooting 1-under for a total of 71 in the round.
This performance comes shortly after Charlie was with his dad at the U.S. Open in a heartwarming moment. As Tiger said, it was a special moment between the two: “I think having Charlie out here is very special. To have the father-son relationship that we have and to extend it into this part of both of our lives, he’s playing a lot of junior golf, and I’m still playing out here.”
Matthew Marigliano finished second with an even score, as NUCLR Golf reported on social media. Charlie Woods was the only one to shoot under par.
