Italy’s Camila Giorgi, 32, retired from tennis on Tuesday (May 7th), as per the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA). She made no official announcement and silently bid adieu to the sport.
Her name was included in the list of ‘Retired Players’ on the ITIA website. And though the 32-year-old made no official announcement, the Italian Tennis Federation (FITP) confirmed the same. One can expect her to give the reason behind retiring at such an early age in the near future.
A WTA 1000 title in Montreal, best ranking at number 26 WTA, and 4 overall trophies in her career. Camila Giorgi says goodbye to tennis at the age of 32.

Several players have made a U-turn after announcing their decision to retire. If Giorgi also changes her mind, she cannot make a return to tennis without making herself available for dope testing at least six months before her first match.
